Embracing this new beautiful body and all of it’s changes has been

Embracing this new beautiful body and all of it’s changes has been interesting. I am in a healthier head space with my body now than any other time in my life but that doesn’t change the drastic changes my body makes during pregnancy. No matter how fit I am…my hips grow and the scale continues to rise. I am and forever will be grateful to have a body that grows little humans, but I would be lying if I didn’t admit that somedays it can be tough. Walking into the gym gets harder and harder. I have the most incredible support group of strong fit women but it’s hard not to be too hard on myself. Not being able to do a pull-up anymore can get to ya! Mind you, it took me about 6 months almost 4 years ago to even be able to do pull-ups, and now I find myself back in that place I was almost 4 1/2 years ago.
Today, while working out at @xcelfitness with my incredible coach @gynellexcel we did these movements in the video above 5 times with 5 reps, and then some sprints and ended with 100 wallballs. I hit 50 and everyone else had finished. I could have stopped, but I didn’t. I did 10 more. Rested. And then did another 10. Water started to gather in my eyes as I felt my little babe move inside me and gratitude filled my body. It was as if he was saying, “You can do it mom! Look at what you can accomplish!” I change while pregnant. Like 1000% completely change and that’s okay! I am growing another human for the love. Sometimes I have to remind myself that. We are our worst critics after all! After during 20 more wallballs, my dear friend @awelder (a marathonrunnersuperwoman) came up to me and cheered me on while I did my last set of 10. I did it. 25 pounds heavier and all! And I will continue to do it. Because I refuse to stop…even when the weight comes on. Even when the doubts fill my head. Because I am growing a child AND I am able to workout and that makes me so lucky and grateful!
Remember, it’s all about your perspective!
