Good morning friends☺️ I have a busy day ahead so I will leave you with these mouth watering scrumptious Almond butter and banana chocolate smothered oat bars They are made from all natural whole food ingredients with no dairy or gluten. Perfect snack on the go or just to enjoy with a nice cup of tea or glass of homemade cashew milk ❤️
3 ripe spotty bananas
1 cup of almond butter
1/4 cup of honey or date syrup
1 tsp of cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
2 cups of gluten free jumbo oats
1/2 cup of raisins
1/2 cup of mixed seeds
First add your almond butter date syrup and mashed bananas into a food processor and blend well to a paste.
Then add your oats, seeds and raisins to the mixture and mix well nail the dry ingredients are evenly covered.
Then tip the mixture into a lined brownie tin ( or a tin with removable bottom) and press mixture into the corners evenly until it’s flat. Bake for 25-30 mins on 160c or until golden brown on top.
Allow to cool completely!!
For chocolate topping
1/4 cup of MELTED cacao paste ( raw cacao powder can be subbed but be warned the chocolate will melt much quicker at room temperature )
1/4 cup of honey or maple syrup
1/4 cup of melted coconut oil
1 tsp of vanilla bean paste
Mix ingredients together until you a nice velvety chocolate consistency. Pour mixture over the cooled oats ( still in the brownie tin) and smooth over with a spatular. Put in the fridge to go hard. Once set remove the tin and cut into bars. Enjoy!
Keep in an airtight container for a few days. ✨
