This sunset came during what was supposed to be the peak of the most powerful storm in the last 45 years. Forecasters were saying that the remnants of a typhoon were supposed to hammer the coast on Saturday. People warned us to stay indoors and away from windows, by mid day the wind was howling and the rain was coming in heavy squalls. After walking down to the beach and checking the radars we decided it was safe enough venture out for some storm watching. After a day of watching waves crash and wind blow we ended up in Yachats, just in time for this window to open up and the sun to shine through. Thankful for the moments in the storm and after, when we were surprised by this amazing sunset.
