14-year-old Lana* practices her photography and social media skills with her friends at Save the Children’s multi-activity center for girls in #Zaatari Refugee Camp. “I am grateful for the friends I made at the center,” she told us on yesterday’s visit. We provide child protection and psycho-social support for refugee children at many of our programs within the camp for displaced peoples. This multi-activity center is a place girls and young women can come within the #refugee camp to take literacy & numeracy classes as well as training in handicrafts, youth resilience, and Healing through Education and Art (HEART) to help the girls develop the skills they need to express their emotions, improve their self-esteem and share their unique perspectives.
