…. And here it is… Seems like an entirely other person (and it was). I was 15yrs old. I believe this was at world championships in Brussels. I don’t have a lot of footage from back then as there was no social media or iPhones & video cameras were the size of a truck lol. So this is rare footage that I cherish. What do I see when I look back at this girl? I see a robot, a machine, someone programmed to accomplish one thing & one thing only… To win.But I also see a fierce little girl willing to do anything to accomplish her dreams.I see a determined warrior, a rebel, a fighter, a lioness. I see someone who refused to give up.I got that fighting spirit from my parents, watching them fight for their dreams.Moving to America with 3 small children, no money, no contacts, no English, just wanting more for us. I saw them never give up or give excuses or say “I’m too tired”, “I too this or that.” In my household everyone did what they had to do without complaining. I understood quickly anything is possible if you stay focused & disciplined. Thanks mom & dad. I’ll never forget my favorite moment when I competed at the Olympics, looking up in the stands, my Argentine parents in USA decked out glittery jumpsuits, crying, screaming, cheering w/ joy & sense of accomplishment. From moving to America with very little, to their daughter competing for their Olympic team. At that moment I knew, anything is possible! #DreamBIG #NOexcuses #NeverGiveUp #YOGANCE #YOGANCE™ #Olympian #olympicgames #rhythmicgymnastics #gymnastics #movementtherapy #movementartist #athlete #gymnast #sport #rope #onelove #believe
