Ever have days where you wish you could just get away from it all? (And we mean REALLY get away!) This scene of @sail_bruny’s Tasmanian-built vessel anchored in the tannin-stained waters of Recherche Bay might be just what you’re looking for! Located in the far south-east of Tasmania, on the edge of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area, Recherche Bay can only be reached by boat and was included on @Australia’s National Heritage List in 2005 due to its significance in Tasmania’s colonial history. It’s one of the first documented locations in Tasmania where European (French) explorers made contact with Tasmania’s Indigenous people (1792). A truly remarkable and historic place – thanks for tagging #discovertasmania, Chris and Jo.
