Happy news!! Super-senior, 17 year old Ben got ADOPTED! (Scroll back for original post.) A huge thank you to the selfless Laiewski family for stepping up so quickly to bring Ben home after his adoption plea went out. Ben is a 17 year old #WelshCorgi and #spaniel mix with limited time left on earth. He was surrendered to the shelter after he spent his entire life with his family. He was very sad and lonely and needed a new home right away. For the time being, Ben loves to eat and is a happy senior dog. And for that he deserves a family to love him until the very end. And he certainly found a GREAT one!
Kelly wrote, “Hi there! Wanted to give an update on 17 year old Ben. We adopted him on Friday and he’s just made himself right at home.
He’s got a bit of a wonky walk due to his age but otherwise his health is good. He loves exploring the yard during one of the few hours a day he isn’t napping. He naps a lot. He’s also quite the little beggar (and a bit chubby) so I’m guessing he was well loved by whoever had to give him up. He seems a little lost, wandering around the house, maybe looking for his owner (?) but otherwise he seems in good spirits. I’m sure he’s wondering what the heck is going on, but his ears are always up and his tail is wagging. He was even getting feisty and playing with my husband, which was super cute.
I share all of the posts that I know are close to friends. When this one came up in our area I just had to bring him home. Not sure how long he has but we are so happy to have him!” ❤️ #seniordog #supersenior #adopted #goldenyears #happilyeverafter
