Hello from Philadelphia! I couldn’t be more excited to spend a few days getting to explore a city I haven’t been to in a long time. I’m in town working on a project with the Curio collection of hotels by Hilton and the gorgeous Logan Hotel. These boutique luxury hotels have special character and style and are certainly unique, as I’ve quickly discovered at the beautiful Logan. But I’m here to help share the city, which is why I got up early today to start wandering around town. Before I knew it, I soon found myself in one of the city’s most iconic spots, Elfreth’s Alley.
Dating to 1702, this is usually known as the oldest residential street in the US and walking down the street home to a scant 32 houses, it certainly felt that way. If you think about it, it’s fairly amazing that this quiet window into the colonial era even survived in the first place, which it did through a variety of historical quirks, all of which I’m thankful for otherwise we wouldn’t be able to enjoy this treasure today. Sure, it’s a touristy spot but there are few places in the country where you can truly get a feel as to what early American life was like and when you’re in Philly, that’s definitely a major aspect to enjoying the city. #CitiesbyCurio #spons
