Hello Sunday! Please don’t go by too fast!!
.
Thinking of a Sunday roast (roasted meat, potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, gravy, stuffings, and veg) for dinner. What about you?
.
I read that this Sunday roast tradition started in the 15th century when the king’s guards would eat fresh beef after Sunday church. By the 19th century, almost every household would pop a beef into the oven before church. Those who were not too well off, no big meat or fireplace, would drop their meat off at their local baker before church. The baker would then cook the meat in the bread oven and have them ready sometime after church.
.
Now, Sunday roast can be pork, beef, or chicken. We like pork and chicken best.
.
Dinner is my favourite time of the day. Five days a week, when we have no late gymnastics training, we’d all sit at the dining table to eat and share our day.
.
Have a fab Sunday!
