“The first time we stopped at Skogafoss, there were hundreds of tourists coming and going from a constant flow of tour busses. We stayed only a few minutes. On our way back through though, we slept overnight next to the falls, woke up first thing in the morning, and walked up to the falls before the sun had even risen. Getting to walk around a place like this while it’s empty feels like getting away with something. So few people get to experience the falls in this way.”
Up close and personal with Mother Nature is always worth the wait.
