[The Jewel Box Room] #JennyWatson frequently draws connections between music and the ambiance of her current work. Like pop music, her work is dependent on a set of recurring images, and, like a good song, it allows us to enter, just for a moment, a different reality. ‘Objects of Desire: 60s Guitarist’ shows a wide-eyed woman wearing a yellow dress with the figure of a tiny guitarist against her chest. The text you see in the bottom of this photo reads, “I leaned against the huge black stomach of pregnant mare. I fancied I could hear the foal’s heartbeat. It sounded like a small foot in a felt slipper, softly kicking a big bass drum.” #FabricofFantasy
