The Paris workshop/retreat with @local_milk was ABSOLUTELY wonderful. Being in this place and getting to teach + create with my dear sweet friend has been so good for my heart. The women who joined us were *phenomenal* and beautiful new sistors were made.
The experience was truly immersive. We ate, drank and wandered together, soaking up Parisian culture while photographing and having real talks about the importance of branding, business strategy and marketing. We met in Beth’s adorable Le Marais flat to focus on the technical skills of photography, styling, editing and Cinemagraph making. It was SO inspiring in so many ways to me. Getting to see a group of creatives come together and learn so much in only a few short days was SO life giving. It reconfirmed something I’ve believed ever since I started doing this for a living…there’s a lot going on in the world–a lot of scary and negative things. Effecting change can seem overwhelming, but connecting and creating are languages we can learn to influence those around us and spread hope and healing like wildfire. When we inspire each other to find the courage to make something real that the world can see, and we’re vulnerable enough to really care about the humans in front of us, love happens, fear fades, and things change. I really really do believe this. We’re not making and sharing things to distract from what’s really going on, we’re doing it to influence what’s really going on. (Hence my OTHER belief about how we’re *all* influencers…but you’ve heard me ramble about that a million times. ) All that to say, I’m a happy clam. ☺️ Three more days in Paris, then home! What a dream. ✨ #whyOUIadventure
P.S. I touched the Louvre. Watch my story.
