viewing #lions in the Ishasha sector of the Queen Elizabeth National Park in #Uganda and never once saw them on the ground. The lions in this area are known for hanging out in large fig trees scattered throughout the park. There are many theories as to why these lions spend so much time in the trees. Some believe it is to avoid the biting insects on the ground or to catch a cool breeze. We heard one guide tell a young boy that it was to avoid getting stepped on by an elephant. Maybe they just enjoy the epic views of this park from high in the treetops. #BigCats
