‘When you’re curious, you find lots of interesting things to do.’ – Walt Disney / Curiosity. That one little trait that gets us into as much trouble as almost anything else. That same trait responsible for innumerable inventions, songs, designs, ideas, companies, neighborhoods, and nation states. That one little trait that says there may just be more than what is visible to the naked eye. More than what we were taught or told. Better ways of doing things. New ways to see a problem, a subject, or the world itself. I’ve been spending a lot of time recently trying to understand what sets truly innovative people apart from the rest, and I think this little characteristic plays a big role. So if you’ve felt stuck creatively or in some other area in life, perhaps it’s time to restore that curiosity that was so alive and vibrant when we were kids. Seeing the world though a lens filled with heavy doses of wonder, awe, and “why is that…”. It probably isn’t a stretch to suggest that those we deem the most creative around us might just also be the most curious. // #mondaymusings #socality #explorealberta
